Press this week - Guitar Player Magazine and WBUR's Radio Boston

Yesterday - my song "Down So Long" was featured as part of a story on WBUR's Radio Boston about the state of live music in town, along with a mention of the "Winter Hill Blues" album release party on 5/22 at The Rockwell Theater. (Get tickets here!) Hear the whole story, along with moving insights from ONCE's JJ Gonson and Club Passim's Matt Smith at https://www.wbur.org/radioboston/2022/03/30/local-music-venues-pandemic-pivots.

Also, this month in Guitar Player Magazine, there is a feature on the legacy of Skip James and Bentonia blues, which I was very, very glad to contribute to. It's a long story, available in the print version of the magazine (which can be ordered here).

An excerpt, in which I offer some casual reflections on Skip's style, can be found at https://www.guitarplayer.com/players/from-satan-to-jesus-skip-james-played-through-shadow-and-light-on-these-five-essential-tracks.

Thanks so very much to Jim Beaugez for thinking of me for the piece - it is an honor to be a part of it, alongside some wonderful musicians and songwriters, all of whom I appreciate and admire.
